Active engagement with life can make it difficult to find time to reflect upon one’s experiences. Over the past year, I’ve been incredibly busy with work, travel, volunteering, new skillsets, special projects, and many other things.
In fact, I’ve been so busy that I haven’t had time to update this blog, nor migrate my old blog over.

Since last August, we visited Africa, which necessitated becoming more serious about bird/wildlife photography. I upgraded my camera equipment and spent a couple months learning the most important aspects of bird photography, which is among the most challenging photography of all.

I was interviewed by The Rheumatologist last fall. (The piece was published this year.)
Locally, by way of birding, we had a very interesting winter and an amazing spring migration, especially inland, in the Houston area. More on that later. And this is just a small slice of all that’s been going on.
